Villa Park Neighborhood Information

The Village of Villa Park is an "inner" western suburb of Chicago near the hub of eastern DuPage County’s busiest transportation corridor, just five miles from O’Hare International Airport and within 25 miles of Midway International Airport.

Just 19 miles directly west of Chicago’s “Loop,” Villa Park provides direct access to downtown Chicago by car or Metra train and is very convenient to both O’Hare and Midway Airports and the rest of the western suburbs.

Safari Land offers family entertainment with Illinois' largest indoor roller coaster, kiddie go-karts, bumper cars, Tilt-A-Whirl, Monkey Jump, Merry-Go-Round, and hundreds of video and redemption games.

The Villa Park Historical Museum features permanent displays of railroad memorabilia, artifacts donated by residents depicting life in Villa Park, and keepsakes from the old Ovaltine factory.

The Illinois Prairie Path is one of the country's first rail-trail conversions. Its main branch connects with the Great Western Trail in Villa Park and is a well-groomed favorite for biking, running, skating or strolling.

Villa Park also has nineteen parks with over 100 acres of green space and two public swimming pools.

Ranked fourth in the nation among Play Golf America facilities, Sugar Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole, par 32 public golf course that is jointly owned and operated by the Elmhurst Park District and Village of Villa Park. It includes a full-service clubhouse, pro shop, driving range and putting green.

The Odeum Sports & Expo Center is a 130,000 square-foot facility that houses a 5,300-seat arena, open areas and meeting rooms. It hosts a wide range of activities year-round, such as concerts, banquets, trade shows, meetings, and sports events like boxing, soccer and in-line skating. More than 2.3 million visitors pass through their doors each year.
